New Counseling Practice-need Help With A Name!

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello everyone!

I have been searching some of the posts on here and thought I would post one, in order to get some help!

I am currently starting my own counseling practice (an LLC). I will be engaging in an office shared space situation, but will also be working with other professionals (as a 1099) to help facilitate group sessions using an equine assisted psychotherapy modality.

I would like to come up with a name for my practice that is simple (as I serve a lot of populations and offer various services) and be able to DBA when I am in an 1099 situation.

Any and all help in coming up with a name would be appreciated! At this time, I have no real direction for a name, other than "LastName Counseling & Consulting" and "LastName Counseling Services." I'm open to anything that can be short, sweet, and catchy. I am open to having counseling, therapy, services, etc. in my name as well. I am just lost and would like to see what assistance I may get in creating a name for my LLC!

Thanks so much!!

How about Feelgood counseling and therapy or Feelbetter counseling and therapy?

Your thinking seems to be all over the place, and that's not good for effective marketing (including naming). You'd be much better served focusing on the segment of the market you are most qualified (and eager) to serve, or to your unique benefit promise.

Tell us what that segment is, what they need, where they live, how they perceive what you do, what words they use when they discuss/describe their needs, etc. The more focused and specific you can be, the better able we will be to come up with an effective name.

Unless you are very well known in the area, using your last name is not likely to mean much to a prospective client. Let us lead you to a better name -- one more likely to be meaningful and important to your target audience.

Avoid "catchy" as you would a dangerous reptile.

Just tell people who you are, what you do, and who you serve.

If all people care about in terms of your service is your name rather than the service you're offering there's something wrong with your business model.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I came up with a great name and tag line while sitting down with a few friends. I do appreciate the feedback, though. Thank you.
