Senior Financial Day

I am a financial advisor and will have a booth at a local senior financial day I need a tagline that will attract people to let them know that we will bring peace of mind with financial security. We have another campaign going of "does the IRS have its hand in your cookie jar" and would like to somehow bring the two together.

    You will do a better job of attracting your target audience if you stick to a single, focused message. Trying to communicate "peace of mind," "financial security," and "IRS/hand in cookie jar" is going to be too much. Pick one of those ... or go with something that refers specifically to your target audience (e.g., their location or something that says/implies "I'm local so I understand what you value").

    There are millions of people across the country who deeply distrust the financial system (and in many ways, who can blame them?)

    So, how do you "bring peace of mind with financial security"?

    How will you do this? What will YOU deliver? What will you PROMISE? What can you guarantee and how will you back up your claim?

    And I agree with Michael: go with just one message.

    As for the IRS and the hand in the cookie jar? Er? No.

    Place THAT blame on legislators, NOT on the IRS.

    Likewise if you're tempted to take a swing at the SEC.

    Don't.

    Blaming federal employees for the misdeeds and wrong doings of elected representatives and the lobbyists that guided them is simply wrong.

    When Arthur Levitt, Jr., was Chairman of the SEC (1993 -2001) he warned of an impending credit crisis. He was ignored. He warned again and again at Congressional and Senate levels and again, he was ignored. It was only when he threatened to take the issue to the States that he was told that if he didn't back off that the SEC would lose all its funding! We all know how that ended, don't we?

    I bring peace of mind by providing financial planning that anyone can follow. Convincing people that it is best to start planning now rather than later, even if you may not think you have the funds. Whether it be needing help to go through the finances you already have and make a plan on how to save for retirement or by providing a product that they can invest in order to do so. I can provide financial secuirty with out always selling a product. My main focus is to attract seniors or people planning/ starting to think about retirement.
