Trying To Find An Easy Unique Business Name

Posted by hails1 on 250 Points
Hi Everyone!

I am a temp office worker trying to start her own business on the side. I am at a loss trying to come up with a unique easy to remember business name.

My business is sewing jewellery cases, making accessories for kids, or anything else I can come up with. But I don't only sew I also make memory boards, things out of wood, ipod or e-reader cases etc.

I have come up with 'craft' business names but that limits me as to what I can make or sell as it's not only crafts.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be extremely grateful!!

Thanks!
Hailey

HaileysCometCrafts.com is available. Most everyone knows this famous comet, so thought it would be a name people would remember if you eventually work in radio advertisements, etc. Not sure if copyright is needed but the famous comet is "Halley's"; your name is spelled differently. You can have fun with it too!

Who is your target audience? Where are they? How will they find out about you?

If you don't already have marketing and business plans, that's the place to start. The name will be a lot easier to come up with when the marketing strategy is clear.

I feel like this needs to be a 'sticky' thread if something like that even exists on this forum. I try my best to answer all of these naming questions and usually the response is to simply do more research.

You must clearly define your demographics and every other aspect of your business before coming up with a name. Choosing a name too soon may inaccurately brand your business or you may find that you came up with a better one once you've already chosen.

Figure out all of the specifics of your business and the name will often just come to you. Once you've define what your business is to stand for, the naming part is easy.

Haileys Crafts is good. Craftsters seems way awesome too! I dont know though this is difficult, keep it simple.
