Business Name For A 'party Needs' Business

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hi, everyone! I'm Erika Cuevas, 20 years old and I'm new in the business industry.

My stepmom and I are goin' to put up a small business involved in party needs and supplies and I'm having a hard time thinking of a good, attractive and unique business name that has my name or initials on it as well as a catchy tagline.

Can anyone give me an idea or help me on this?

This is going to be my first business venture and I'm very ecstatic about it.

Thank you! :)

A good name and effective tagline start with knowing a lot more about your planned business, including:
    - where you're located
    - who specifically you want to serve
    - why should someone want what you have (instead of your competition, including on-line competition)
    - online business only or also a storefront

Oh, and if you haven't already created a business/marketing plan, now's the time to start, before you create the name/tagline. Starting a business is more than coming up with an idea, creating a name, and then hoping people will want what you're offering.

We are really good at names and taglines, but Jay Hamilton-Roth is right. You need to think through your overall business strategy and give us something with which to work.

Answer his questions as best you can, and we'll guide you from there.

I would also be interested in the answers to the questions listed above and answering them will help you come up with a tagline as well as solidify your business plan. If you feel like you are at the end of the planning stages, you might want to outsource to a creative firm.

Many of these firms have think tanks of people who will help formulate a tagline or name for your business at a reasonable rate. I believe that more thought and planning is the answer, but there are other options if you simply can't wait.
