Need An Edgy, Creative Photography Studio Name

I've been a professional photographer for 3 years and have been watching the inundation trends of firstname.lastname photography companies exploding. I'm unfortunately one of those businesses as well, and it works well as far as wedding/family/kid photography- my passion however is in edgy; fashionably classy; sexy, editorial, lifestyle and commercial photography. I can't for the life of me think of a creative name to build a brand upon that reflects those qualities. I love the photography business names that dont clearly state that: ie- L1Quid Studios, CockDiesel, Filthy Duck Studios etc. Preferably not something ridiculously long. Think something you would want to market to Vogue or to Wakeology.

    Who is your target audience? If it's Vogue (et al.) my guess is that the name is relatively unimportant, and what counts is your work.

    If I'm wrong, then please define your target audience for us and let us know how they decide which photos to buy or which photographer to hire. What's important to them?

    If you're convinced that an edgy name is the key to success, then I'm not sure how you will know a great name when it shows up. It will all depend on your marketing plan, won't it?

    When I've commissioned photography I've selected work from people who let their work speak on their behalf. Or from photographers that were easy to work with, or who instantly got what it was I was looking for.

    An "edgy" name is no different from a "catchy" name: both are irrelevant. Forget about the name and concentrate on making great images. The name of your business does not need to be creative: push the creative into the product, not the nomenclature.
