I Need Help Naming My Tshirt Company!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
So i saved enough money to invest and start my own T-Shirt/ Hoody clothing line. The only thing is... i can not think of a name for my brand. my brand will target more younger kids ages 16-25 mainly, and for like skate boarding, snow boarding, surfing, i want it to do with something that's inspiring but catchy, that people will remember. Here are some brands that are similar to my design and targeted consumers, Young & Reckless, Obey, Diamond Supply, L-R-G. Please any help!!!

If you have a name like the others, then how will your brand stand out? Will your clothing be simply cool looking or will there be something to inspire them (messages or sayings, for example)? What makes your clothing better/different? At what price point? Where would your customers be located?

My line will be designed similar to those lines, it's designs will have a message of anyone can grab sucess if they wanted to bad enough, I'm just a 21 year old kid living at home, and I'm trying to make it big, so if I do make it big I want my name and brand to show that. I was thinking of Prestige clothing, cause the definition of prestige is pretty close to what I'm looking for.

    1. reputation or influence arising from success, achievement, rank, or other favorable attributes.

Hopefully one day when I make it big, I will have the oppurtunity to answer the question to why I choose prestige as my clothing name, and that will be my answer.

    SK8ER

That should stand out well and goes with the idea of dressing like a Skater. And it goes with the texting craze that's been going on and still is.

The word Prestige probably won't appeal to the age group or the people you are targeting. From what I know of skaters (I'm a mom to teenagers), I don't think Prestige is their goal. Find a word or description that applies to their age and that interest. Or just something that appeals to you, it's your brand and should reflect you just as much. A good friend of mine owns a very successful online tshirt company. The name they chose had meaning to the founders only and really means nothing, but is now known and is even a word in the urban dictionary.
What are some terms that skaters use? Start there.
