Need Tagline For Online Resale Shop

Posted by llj11 on 250 Points
I am about to launch an online resale shop and need to find a clever tagline about how much shoppers can save by shopping with us. We're looking for something that captures the idea of looking and dressing expensive without spending a lot such as:

Red carpet looks for a fraction of the price or Designer clothing that doesn't cost a lot

However, these are boring....anyone with any good ideas please let me know!

Sorry - that's a good point that I should have mentioned, it's called The Thrifty Princesses.

(Aside: If it's not too late, I'd suggest naming your business "The Thrifty Princess" rather than the plural, since it's likely to be mis-remembered.)

As for a tagline, consider: "Look Like Royalty For Le$$"

The only issue with it being plural is because I am running the business with one other person and that's the reason for the "es". We've also incorporated under that name already, but definitely something to have considered.

    Is this you?

I like the graphics and overall tone.

As yet another name option, you could do a "dba" and use "The Thrifty Palace". or some variation using "Palace".

For the tagline, how about one of these:

Dress Like a Royal, Pay Like a Pauper
Dress Like a Royal On A Pauper's Budget
    Royal's Duds, Pauper's Wages

Hi Steve - Yes you found the right site very impressive! ; )

I'm wondering though if you refer to our target market as "paupers" will they be offended or will it turn off those that don't consider themselves to be on a pauper's budget, but just like to save money?

I should mention that although I'm not opposed to using references to "royalty" because our name, I'm equally as open to a more general slogan without those types of references if it's clever and conveys the point of wanting to save people money yet still provide them with high quality fashion.

    celebrity duds on a dime
    designer duds on a dime
    diva duds on a dime
    the cure or expensive couture

I meant - "the cure for expensive couture"

Hi all - While I very much appreciate the current suggestions, none are really resonating with what I'm looking for. I'm not sure I like any references to "royalty", since some things like "pauper" could me misconstrued as offensive to some. I think it's clever, but just not the right message. I really want to find something that says, "Spend a little a top-name designer fashions and save a lot of money" or "Expand your wardrobe without spending a lot", but obviously something a lot more clever than that.

You don't need a "clever" tag line, you simply need something that clearly and powerfully telegraphs a primary benefit of shopping with you.

    "Top designer fashions for less."

    "Discount designer fashions."

When it comes to things resonating with you, you are not the target buyer, so what resonates with you is less important than what resonates with your ideal customer.
