Online T-shirt Business Brand For Pak/india Market

Posted by Ali on 125 Points
Hi,

I'm planning an online t-shirt business with the following key points:
Age Group: Young adults (mostly ages 16-30).
Gender: Mostly male, though females aren't excluded.
Country: Focusing currently on Pakistan
Theme: Shirts designs will centre around sports (starting with one sport right now, adding more later).
Prints: Some will have graphics, some only text, some having a combination of the two.
Unique Selling Point: Creativity and differentiation in design. Price is competitive (not premium).

Name preferences in English and/or Urdu/Hindi would be welcome.

You can call it anything you want to but what you do not have yet is a brand.

You're going for a sport theme? That's great. WHICH sport?

As for selling based on differentiation in design: different how? It may also be a mistake to base your prices on your competition. Being creative in your designs is highly subjective: what you might call creative your buyers might not.

Agree with both of you. I am looking for a business name to sell the shirts under. Eventually I do hope to establish it as a brand in the mind of the customers.

The first sport being explored is cricket. A few designs on various themes relating to cricket.

Pricing has been done in comparison to direct competition selling online. In that comparison, the pricing I'm offer is actually slightly better than the rivals'. And, based on a sample survey, the price range is just about approximate optimum that customers would be willing to pay.

    Differentiation is in two senses:
    1. The cricket theme is generally an untouched area. Plus whatever little is done is done on a very surface level, with simple designs.
    2. The approach to designs is unique, identifying particular segments and applying different twists to the contextual happenings in cricket. The approach is uncommon in this market. Have a couple of strategy/planners who have been working for ad agencies as well.

Hence I'm looking for a name that would stand out as well as be easy for the audience to understand.

    Cricket Connections might work.

Be sure thought if you use the word "cricket" that you're not in breach of any copyrights, either of the use of the word, or through use of images that you've bought or adapted.

    Good luck to you.

Thanks a lot for that. I am thinking of not having a sport-particular name such as Cricket Connections or Cricket Tees since I intend to expand it other sports and sporting events in the future.
