Business Name And Taglines

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
My sister and I are getting ready to launch a turnkey events business in the greater NYC and Philadelphia area. We have staging and decorative items that can be rented, we can coordinate other vendors, help with location selection, coordinate timelines and space design etc. We can basically plan the entire event be it a wedding or a corporate affair. from soup to nuts. We offer uniqe items that are difficult or impossible to find due to lack of options or affordability. We are in the midst of trying to come up with a name and a tagline. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Think about the important and unique benefit you offer to your target audience. What is it? Who is that target audience?

It seems that you may have at least two different targets: weddings (brides, brides' parents); and corporations/businesses. And my guess is that these targets have different needs and different criteria for selecting their event planners.

Ideally you'd like your name and tagline to be as specific as possible, so maybe you need to focus more on what you really want to do, and create a name/tagline that really sets you apart from others who offer a similar service.

You need to start with a careful positioning project before you jump to a name, or the name will be wrong for everyone. Naming isn't just about putting a title on your business. You want it to help position you with your target audience and let them know what important benefit you deliver, and what sets you apart from your competitors.
