Need Tagline For Nonprofit Social Service Org.

Posted by lhowe on 250 Points
Family Service has just completed a pro-bono re-branding project (resulting in a new name: Family Services of Merrimack Valley). Now we need a tagline to align with our mission and value proposition.

Mission: Family Service empowers, nurtures and supports children and families through life’s challenges, to help them reach their full potential.

Value Proposition:Family Services is a non-profit, social service organization committed to helping children and families build a better life by developing inner strengths, teaching life skills, and providing vital community-based resources. Rooted in compassion and respect for the diverse population we serve, we help more than 3,000 people in the Merrimack Valley each year by designing and delivering over 20 high quality programs focused on youth development, parent education and emotional health. All of these services are infused with a sense of hope and possibility and produce tangible and sustainable change, enabling individuals to thrive within their family, community, workplace and school.

The challenge is to be relevant to a target audience that has really diverse needs. That's why I would suggest something that extends the organization to an emotional payoff. The name tells who you are, and to a large degree what you do. The tagline can then address the benefit and the target audience ... "Meeting Life's Challenges With You," or words to that effect.

Since the new name isn't very short, I think it's better use a shorter tagline, so that you wouldn't have 2 long phrases in a row.

I like the one from vbanthia.

From me, I would go with one of these:

    Family Services of Merrimack Valley
    Hope > Change > Future

    or

    Family Services of Merrimack Valley
    Growth of Happiness

    or something similar.

    Good luck.
