Business Name For Cooking Classes.

Posted by caramia2u on 250 Points
I need to name the business / cooking classes. I will be offering a variety of cooking classes open to the public. This is not a certification or degree program. It is strictly recreational. These classes will be offered in a commercial kitchen with demonstrations and tastings. There will be introdctory as well as advance cooking lessons. The classes will be both savory as well as baking and pastries. There will be classes for every age level. There will be no limit of style or cullture of cuisine. The class offering will change with the seasons. Specialty classes will be added as the program evolves. I want this business to be fun, educational, informative, and necessary.

Since you stated that you're offering classes for any age level (3 year olds to adults in the same class?), any style, any culture - what can you tell us about the perspective of those that might want to take a class: where are they located, why they'd choose your classes, what special knowledge/skills you have that might be of significance, etc.?

Who is your target audience, caramia2u? Where do they live/work? What are their needs when it comes to cooking? Why would they take your classes? What benefits are they seeking? What makes them tick? What words do they use when they talk about their aspirations?

Naming is all about being relevant (and compelling) to the target audience. The more precisely you can describe that target audience, and the more relevant your business can be for them, the better job your name will do of piquing their interest.

Tell us what you know about these folks. What products and services do they use? What media do they consume? What's important in their lives (other than cooking)?

What you want to offer them is a lot less important for naming than what's on THEIR minds.

The classes would be separate as in a class designed for children not adults and vice versa. People would take the class to learn how to cook. As was stated different classes for different skill levels and subjects or cuisines.
I am a chef and have been in the business for 20 years. Currently I am employes a prestigious culinary school that offers both applied science and bachelors of arts degrees. I am a chef and instructor. The cooking classes offered will be any non professional interested in acuiring skills, increasing their skill level, or simply as hobby.

I would like a one or two word name. "Cooking classes" would follow the name. I am just looking for something creative and concise. I am not trying to get all the individual class information in the name. It's a pretty simple concept, I was just hoping that someone might have something "kitchy" or catchy off the top of their head. Thanks to everyone who has responded and contributed so far!
