Need Name/tagline For Automotive Staffing Company

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hello,

I would like assistance on branding an automotive staffing company (name and tagline). I posted a question regarding a tagline for a company name I had in mind but the answers were unanimous that my name wasn't descriptive enough. The previous name was going to be "Field Service Providers; FSP" with Field Service Pros. written on the company shirts.

My question now is:

1. We would provide immediate staffing for companies in need of engineers, plc programers, tool crib, maintenance, quality control, etc. As well as some odd and ends guys for smaller things such as welding, plumbing, basically all your needs in time of a crisis. So my question is, What should I name my company?

2. I want to stand out of the crowd with other staffing companies. I feel that with an appropriate business plan, and marketing tools, my company will separate from the pack. So my second question is: What is a clever tagline for the business that I offer, that also flows with the name.

3. Last but not least, I have read several articles on staffing service companies and have a good idea for what I can do to be one of the most elite out. But I am running into a roadblock with strategic planning and executing. So my last question to you is: How exactly can I ensure a successful company in today's market. (this is a tricky one so if only questions 1 & 2 can be answered I understand)

Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi, Adam.

The best name for a service company is a name that describes what (and sometimes where) the service is. If your automotive staffing company is statewide, you might call it "Michigan Automotive Staffing" and your tagline can further explain, in a way such as "Immediate, qualified, temporary staff for dozens of automotive-related positions."

MIautostaff.com is one of several available domain names that could help you.

You may be asking, why am I not suggesting more "clever" names? That's because when people look for service companies (yellow pages, search engines, referrals from friends), they don't look for clever wording. Put your promotional money and effort where they will give you a good return, particularly when your business is specific and well-defined, as yours would be.

"How exactly can I ensure a successful company in today's market?" Well, you get extra points for asking the question, because this is the question every company leader should be asking. The answer, however, is complex.

On your way to learning that answer, pay attention to your customers. Stay focused on what your customers need, offer solutions to the problems they face, and realize that their needs are constantly shifting. So, always be ready to adjust what you offer to meet those changing needs and solve those changing problems. There are many obstacles to business success but none is more dangerous than failing to grow in the direction your customers' money is flowing.

    Good luck to you.

Its funny when your naming a company, all the ideas hit you when your in the midst of talking about opening a business but when its time to file the paperwork there are so many decisions to make.
I still have alot of work to do, but for now I believe you have serviced me well enough.

Again, thank you, and I look forward to hearing more responses from you in future forums.

    Sincerely,

    Adam
