Name For A Upvc Window Business

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi,
Greetings of the day to all,
I want to start a business of UPVC window manufacturing. Can any one suggest some attractive name ? I envisage some Spanish/Italian/French word such as BELLE FENETRE, VIVERE A COLORI ETC. followed by ".............. Window Systems".
Please offer your valued suggestions.
Regards,

A Spanish/Italian/French in Mumbai based on what reasoning? If your main buyers don't speak or understand Spanish, Italian, or French you're naming your company based on a personal whim, which—unless there's some solid reason behind this strategy—is a mistake. Unless you have an established brand and associated brand awareness, simply tell people what you do and who you do it for.

A good business or product name should resonate with the target audience and let them know the important and unique benefit they will experience when they buy/use the product.

That means the name is more a function of the target audience and it's needs than it is of the product itself.

So who is your primary target audience? Where are they? What do THEY think is the most important benefit? What words do they use to describe their needs? How do they select and purchase windows?

Thanks for all the responses. In Mumbai and generally in all metro cities of India the Spanish/Italian/French names are widely used for Restaurants/ Apartments/Beauty shops/ Upholstery shops and High end products. Though people do not necessarily understand or speak those languages, the catchy western names do play their contributory role.
The prospective client base is Residents of High Rise Apartment, Bungalows, and other high income as well as upper middle class people. The product is also targeted to big corporate offices, malls, department stores etc.
The UPVC window saves energy for the Air conditioning and Heating System and offers a very elegant appearance.

So the first step is to narrow your target audience. The commercial market is very different from the residential market, and if you try to appeal to both with the same name you'll just confuse everyone.

The residential market may be mostly concerned with aesthetics, while the commercial market will likely be more concerned with the energy-saving benefits.

And the ideal name will communicate one very specific benefit.

Of course you have the option of using a "generic" name for the company (e.g., ABC Windows, etc.) but then you miss a great opportunity to be highly relevant to your most important prospective customer.

The right approach from a marketing standpoint is to be singleminded and focused on the most important benefit for a narrow and specific target audience.

If Spanish/Italian/French names are widely used for all other kinds of business niches there will be nothing to set you apart. It is a mistake to think that simply because everyone else uses a specific name that the same name is appropriate for your business. I caution against this.
