Internal Newsletter Name For Unusual Industry?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
IDEAS FOR INTERNAL NEWSLETTER NAME: out of interest for an engineering company who produce taping machinery solutions to the oil, gas & wind turbine industry? They have had one issue and called it Taping Matters - which is obvious but fine and says what they do, but feel like they need a bit more of a wow factor? Have some thoughts myself but always good to come on here and get thoughts, found this site useful! thanks all

If there is one thing I would advise, it is to think what you as a company can do that your competitors cannot.

This is the essence of how I advise people in their approach to marketing, and it works well.

What is in the newsletter that makes it a must-read for your employees? Is it simply a method to broadcast management "wins" or a way to engage the readers? If the latter, how are you hoping to achieve this?

Thank to you both for coming back to me - the reason I ask is that I have an interview on Tues - they are an engineering based co. who have just done a first newsletter and have asked staff if they think the name is right and if not for suggestions. I was thinking about coming up with something myself, (as well as branding, strap line etc etc) even if they have kept/changed it. Have a few ideas but I find this site really good so thought I would pick other peoples brains. Their produce is a niche produce so that is their USP! They definitely need to engage their readers - have produced a revamped journal before now so that will be a good example for them. To me you have to cover all aspects, not just contract wins, what each division is up to, but also case studies, new customers, market info, legislation and related info to the industry etc

any more thoughts do back back

    Thanks Kathy
