To whom will you offer these services?

    People? What KIND of people?

What specific needs will you cater to?

What scope of services will you offer?

Why are you the ideal person to offer these services?

What is it about your services that sets you apart and that outlines you and you alone as THE provider of these services?

Oh, and if your idea is based on being the cheapest in town, there will always be someone willing to work for less.

The entire point of marketing is to set you apart from the crowd so that you provide a service that makes it worthwhile spending more on.

The term "people" is far too wide: what KIND of people?
Rich? Old? Famous? Wealthy? Business? Royalty?

Close, but no cigar: the more specific you can be the easier it becomes to focus the name of your business on the attention of the people looking for your services.

Why are you the ideal person to offer these services?

What is it about your services that sets you apart and that outlines you and you alone as THE provider of these services?

    Thanks for the response.

Point 1: is there a market for your services. Sometimes when there isn't anything like this, it is because they have all died out through lack of use. This may not be the case, just a warning!

2: Might it be an idea to go for an English sounding name that is reminiscent of the Raj - you will have more feel of this where you are. After all, every memsahib had servants. If you think this is a possibility let me know and I might come up with some pukka ideas.

    Okay, pukka is Indian.

3 if it is upper class, it needs to reflect this. Upper middle class usually aspire to be upper class too. Aim high and you will be fine. Do not on any account play the price game. You will blow yourself out of the water. These people define themselves by the amount of money they have, and a status symbol needs to cost money. That is your advantage.

4 Where are these rich people getting their staff from now? Why should they come to you instead of asking their friends? How are you going to guarantee the quality of your staff? You can't have any that the cat dragged in - they are not farm workers. How can you guarantee this - because if you can GUARANTEE THEIR INTEGRITY you have a chance.

Your response is required on each point. Moriarty xx

to offer, is detailed information on the points I've raised.
