Family Conference/event Name

Posted by kseevers on 250 Points
We are putting together an event for families in our area that will speak directly to parents about what is going on in the lives of their junior high/high school students. But, there will be activities for everyone, children, parents, and the teens. There will be a national speaker. But, I need a name to help promote the event that will attract attention, but not sound too "churchy". I don't want to use the word "conference" at least not in the name so not to appear as a boring, educational event.

It would really help if you can answer the question: "What's in it for your target audience to attend this event?" What benefit will they realize if they attend?

If I might put it another way - who is your national speaker? How many people would not want to hear them speak?

Our target audience is anyone with teens or late elementary. Our speaker is Jeffrey Dean. He will be speaking on teen culture and what is really going on with teens, everything from cutting to pornography. he talks about how to communicate with teens and really understand the challenges they face. The events for kids allow the parents to come and not have childcare be an obstacle. It is completely free and open to anyone in the community. I could say that senior citizens may not feel they have an interest in coming to this event, but if they are concerned about grandkids, or raising grandkids, this may be an event they want to come to.

Thank you to everyone who commented. This is really the first time I have been involved in this type of process but the feedback was very helpful and I love the creativity. Now on to promotion!
    Thank you again!
