Tagline For Magnetic Stationery

Posted by kelly on 250 Points
I have a small online stationery store that focuses on selling custom designed birth announcements. I also do holiday cards, invitations, and other stationery. The thing that sets me apart from other companies is that everything is custom designed, they are high quality and they are magnetic. The name is Oh Baby Prints. I'm interested in a tagline that includes something about them being magnetic. I'm marketing to a slightly higher end, most-likely female consumer. Would love your thoughts on a tagline....thanks!

What's the benefit of "magnetic?" Why would someone want a magnetic birth announcement? The tagline should focus on the benefit your customers should expect, and/or the emotional reward they'll experience once they buy your product. (Are people seeking magnetic cards, invitations and other stationery products? If so, why? If not, what's your reason for being?)

Thanks for the response. The benefit is that when people receive birth announcements in the they often hang them on their fridge. Making them magnetic makes it easy for people to do that, and my customers like that their new baby is on everyone's fridge. It's a pretty popular item and I've sold a whole bunch of them in the past few years and a few other companies sell them as well. Does that help?

That helps a bit, but it still doesn't get to the benefit. Being able to hang something on the refrigerator is a feature, but not a benefit. Push to identify the benefit. How does someone feel happier, richer, sexier, thinner, more loved/appreciated when their announcement is on someone else's refrigerator? Is it strictly an ego thing? ("I'm so important that people will put my announcement on their refrigerator door.") What's the underlying motivation?

I'm not trying to be difficult. Just trying to find out what the emotional trigger is. "Magnetic" doesn't sound like an obvious benefit, and the tagline will be most effective if we can capture the core benefit.

Not difficult at all - thanks for helping!

I suppose it's more bragging than anything. A brand new mom showing off her baby makes her feel proud.

That said, I'm not stuck on it including magnetic at all. It was just my thought as it's my post popular product. I am totally open to doing a different type of tagline.

Thanks and let me know if you need more info.

I get the impression the benefit you need is actually the feeling the new mom gets when she sees a picture of her baby hanging on the fridge.
