    It's a Cert!

Forget IT. The company that handles everything IT.

Secure IT. The IT service that lets you sleep at night.

The cleverness of a name is not the point: RELEVANCE is the point. In the same way that the fastest servers with 100 percent up time are rendered useless without power. Where, geographically, are your customers based? If all your clients are within a a certain mileage from your offices, use the town or city names and add to this what you do: Manchester IT Services: Worry free IT 24/7/365.

Keep it simple and focus on delivering on your service promise. No one ... NO ONE buys a service based on the cleverness of its name. If the most compelling thing about a company is its name, that company won't be in business for long.

Thank you all for your input. Maybe clever wasn't the correct word and that is why I am here posting for help. I was looking for ideas and suggestions as I am technical but not as creative. I have not doubt I will deliver solid technology services once in with a few clients.
I do like Certainty IT and Secure IT as it suggest comfort to business owners. I also understand Gary's "RELEVANCE" is more important than cleverness. Any more tips and suggestions would be appreciated.

Mr Ludlam - were my suggestions any good, and if not could you give us a pointer as to what you didn't like about them. Creative you may not be, you still have your own judgements - and knowing those will help our creative juices a very great deal, and point us more in the direction you like. Hopefully!

Moriatry. I liked Secure IT, which was one of your ideas, and Certainty IT. Certainty IT really gets the point across of me re assuring the owners they will not have to be concerned with their technology issues but it is a little hard to say. Can't tell if that bothers me yet.
Secure IT gave me idea Secure Technology which I like but getting a domain name is almost impossible which in talking with other IT consultants will be a big part of my business as I will offer remote services and backup solutions through my website. The website doesn't have to be exact but I would prefer to be close to the company name. Thanks again.

How about "The Secure IT Solution" thesecureitsolution.com is free. It isn't that hard to find a domain name when you get creative ;-) So leave that to us and choose the one you like best (or even better - the one your CUSTOMERS like best!).

I don't think that reassuring your customers should be high on your list, my direction would be from the point of view of taking that sort of problem out of their hands entirely. Don't really mention it as something to discuss - discuss the things they can do when they have your systems in place. After all, the depths you can go with in internet security is almost fathomless. Just have a robust front that states what your solutions offer as benefits.

sleepsecureit.com emphasizes the benefits. It might strike a chord with your customers who don't want to worry about IT - and don't really want to know about it, only that they do want the benefits (= sleep).

Oh, and thesecuretechnology.com is also free.

    What do you think? M

Oh, and if you don't like thesecuretechnology.com you could always have securetechnologychicago.com (or wherever you are located).

Moiarty. I really like "The Secure IT Solution" and you are right it looks like the domain thing is not quite as big as an issues as I thought. Since I will be offering Network, Server, and PC services do you think I am getting off base by going solely with security? Meaning does is look to you I am only offering Security Solutions. I want them to feel secure but yet also know that my main objective is to take care of their entire IT needs.
