Funky Name For Gift And Christian Gift Website

Posted by lynneecallaghan on 250 Points
I am creating a website selling a range of different gifts but I will be specialising in christian and vintage gifts.
I have a good business head but unfortunately I am
severely lacking in the creativity department so I am hoping for some inspiration!!
I would like something really different; I love names like teacups and trinkets or something that has a funky christian meaning that would also not deter other shoppers.
Any help will be ever so gratefully received.
Thank You

When you create a website, the one thing you need to be aware of is how your viewers will see it. Will they read things that interest them - or will it just be about you and your business?

When looked at from this angle, creativity is usually the least of your problems. Finding time to deal with the things you discover will be.

So what is it that you can offer your visitors that any number of other websites will? Believe me there will be 100,000 others selling vintage, Christian, trinket or goodness knows what else. Finding and developing this very special uniqueness that you possess is the key to having a shop that is both interesting and targeted. That is to say, its very character sets it apart. More to the point, there will be people who really like what you do. They'll sign up to your zany newsletters and come back time and time again.

Now the problem for me is that none of this actually helps me think of a name for you.

Thinking vintage ... "The Chipped China Teacup" (aren't all vintage things chipped??)
I really can't focus on anything else. Does this spur your imagination at all (even if it's just because you don't like it at all!)

    Define "funky Christian".

Also bear in mind that not everyone will share your sense of humour and fun. What is your ideal buyer searching for and why would they buy from you?

Maybe funky isnt the best word to use; just something different. We deal with a christian sign company called Bread & Fishy Co. I have a wide range of really modern christian gifts with a target age market of 20-40. Although I believe this area of my gifts would be the most unique I also don't want a name that will deter non christians.

Can you tell us why people buy from Bread and Fishy? ( - A fab name, by the way) Many of them won't be Christian, yet they still deal with them and choose them out of all the rest. That's the sort of thing you need to focus on for your name (and tagline).

I understood "funky" to mean "young, fresh and dynamic".

How is your target audience going to find you? What search terms might lead them to you?
