Non-profit Proceeds Benefit Animal Rescue Name

Posted by MiloTaliaferro on 250 Points
Hello! I'm wanting to start a non-profit business making and selling gifts for pet owners. All proceeds will go to provide funds for animal rescue and care. Having a difficult time coming up with a name and tagline. I would welcome any and all suggestions! Thanks!

So who is your target audience for this venture? Where? How will they learn of your existence? What about your products will make them want to buy from you? Or are you really asking for donations to the charity cause, with products as the excuse? If the latter, you may want to re-think your business strategy.

Do you have a business plan? A marketing plan? Those should precede the name and tagline.

Taking things from Mr Goodman's angle usually gives some pretty good ideas straight from the start.

Whichever names you choose, do remember to ask your customers what they think of them. After all, they're the ones buying. The other issue that Mr Goodman hints at is how your customers are going to find you (this is the core of any marketing plan you may draw up). Mind you without anything concrete visible, developing a marketing plan out of thin air isn't easy. If you can start by asking your potential customers which name they like will give you a lot of feedback and ideas to start a plan.

So perhaps you can share some of the information from your marketing plan so we know what the benefit positioning is. That will let us know what the name and tagline have to communicate. And it will also help us understand who the target audience is.
