Looking For Assistance Naming A Gym Clothing Range

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am launching a range of Gym Clothing. Initially T-shirts.

The brand name should be suited to the following.

Unisex aimed at 16-35 year olds
To be sold for around £23 for a t shirt
Looking for a 'balance' between fashion and functionality
I like the idea of the brand being quite prestige and exclusive
Can't be cheesy as bodybuilders are put off by this
The range is aimed more at bodybuilding than general fitness
The name should also have room for expansion into supplements
The range is based on the confidence and motivation of training

Really appreciate any help! Thanks.

    nobody likes cheesy.

Why would someone want to buy your exclusive tee-shirts? What are you offering that the market as it stands isn't. I'll bet there are at least a dozen. Okay, so there are 26 million. (On Google for this search term).

Expanding to supplements will dilute the impact of a target audience that isn't yet in focus.

With regard to the British government's "half an hour's exercise a day" campaign my ex came home and said "well, I got that lot done by half past nine this Monday morning and I still had the rest of the week's work to do". He - and the guys who worked for us were real body builders. Guys in their sixties who could lift a fire-door and carry it up four flights of stairs. And still have the energy to fit the thing.

He was motivated. Not just by the meagre amounts we paid him (which in British terms was above the average - only carpenters are paid 3x as much in the Netherlands for half the work). He was motivated by his pride and the quality of the work he produced.

Not all bodybuilders have a skill-set that matches their strength. So what does motivate the body builder? Just being bigger? Or is it some weakness in their emotional self, the fact that whilst they can push three tons on wheels, they can't even fit a door handle? Let alone the oak fire-door that they carried up all those stairs - and incidentally, costs three grand?

Because with all this I need an "in" to the motive that makes your visitors into buyers. Just setting out a store will not make them buy. They need a prod, or better put, an invitation that speaks to them.

So what does your teeshirt to for them that no other teeshirt will? What element of the bodybuilder's inner world does it appeal to?

    Over to you.

Name it after your favorite major muscle group (pick one): Biceps, Triceps, Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Trapezius, or Abs.

Jay's direction has potential, maybe "Club Abs" or "Ripped Abs Club".

Also using "club" for exclusivity, Club Bargo (bar + argo).
