Naming Our Art And Wine Event

Posted by catlady on 250 Points
I can not come up with a name for our event. The event is art and wine (and some snacky food) at a winery (not vineyard). It's for our non profit animal rescue. nothing seems to "fit". I want people to know what it is by the title but also look at it and be like 'we really need to go to this'. help!

Well, it does have to be for your customers to say "we really need to go to this" - so what are you offering that will act as an enticement? Plus the standard questions - where are you, who are they and what makes your event special, blah blah.

I'm not on form, nevertheless a few tries to see what you think

Drink like a fish and save an animal
The art of conversation: wine, art, friends and animals.
The Winery Rescue Fund: drinks, nibbles and natter

I'm sure the others can do better. M

We are a no kill non profit cat rescue in neenah, wi. There will be wine sampling, artists with art for sale to benefit our rescue, some soft music and appetizers. It's open to everyone (21 and over) ..a social event.

    A Toast to Cat Rescue
    Toast The Felines (Rescue)
    Friends of Felines, Cheers

You can add details (wine, food, art, music) by creating a tagline for this event.

What about the event will make it seem "we really need to go to this"?
  • Posted by catlady on Author
it's for a great cause (our wonderful cat rescue), it's in a fantastic venue (A local winery), local artists, various sampling of great food... Need a catchy name/tagline I have never named something like this before (or done an event before...can you tell? ha)

Are people likely to come to mostly to support the rescue -or- is this event special by itself?
What's the name of the winery? Is it a sit down affair, or booths, or something in-between? What's the pricing like? Are you hoping for an annual event, or is this a one-off? You want a name to reflect the goal you're trying to convey. For example, why not a name like "Wine & Cats" or "A Catty Affair" or "WineryName Loves Cats"?

people would go to support the rescue. The winery is just where it's located. People would pay to wine taste. there will be artists there and stuff to buy. raffles. 20 per person to get in and it buys you all the wine you can taste, music and apps. raffle tickets and any art sales are extra. all to benefit the rescue. We are fundraising to build a dog house/garage. I want the focus to be on the art/wine/rescue.

I like "A Toast To Cat Rescue" myself.

Since it's a wine tasting - " A Taste To Cat Rescue - raising money for the new dog's extension"
"- wine tasting to build our new dog's extension"

    What do you think? M

I'm confused - you're fundraising for a dog house/garage, yet you also say you're a cat rescue nonprofit. Are you expanding to handle other pets? What's the name of your nonprofit (Neenah Animal Shelter)?

the 'house' hosts cats... we are looking to build a garage type thing to have meet and greets for
dogs we have in care (all of our dogs are in foster care).

What's the name of your charity? I have done lots of work with animal charities and when we do events, it's always fun to do some play on words, something that, in your case, will equate cats, wine/art.

If you are an animal shelter, catering to both cats & dogs, there's more room to play with in regard to naming your event.

What are your thoughts on these:

"Whiskers & Wine" - a charity event benefiting (insert charity name) ....Even the most finicky felines will be there

"Whiskers, Wags & Wine" - a charity event benefiting (insert charity name)

I am sure I will come up with more, but these 2 were off the top of my head

Are you planning to build a barn as well?

"Scope Creep", it's the enemy of great solutions. Always best to provide a complete story at the beginning, is there still more to this story?
