    Where are you located?
Who specifically is likely to be interested in your services?
Why would they choose to hire you?
What types of names are you looking for?

Are you providing JUST ironing (verses laundry and ironing)? If yes, why do customers need this service? Do you go to customer's homes or do they drop off? How does this work?

Let's iron out a few details first. ;-) I simply couldn't resist that pun.

So: who are you up against? Laundries will have in-house ironing services, there will be others who are doing what you're doing.

Somehow you need to make yourself just that little more special - what times of day can you pick up the ironing? How flexible can you be in meeting a busy gentlemen's need for a pressed cummerbund?

To be quite honest you could just call yourself

    Ironing Out The Details
    Pressed for time?
    All Steamed Up!
    Pressed with steam and love
    Hot Irons Flat Sheets

What do you think? M xx

Where are you, do you deliver by samlaw ;-)

Even for such a "simple" business as ironing clothes, there's a huge amount you need to sort if you are to make your living at it. There's a lot we can help with - and more we can't!

Presenting yourself to your clients is what we do best. The rest will take some hard work from you, and a lot of asking friends awkward questions and getting answers you may not like. That's life, and that's what real friends are for.

    To your success, Moriarty

I like Moriarty's "Pressed For Time?" naming solution, as it suggests the primary benefit .. saving time for busy customers.

    Here are some suggestions:

    1) Iron It Out
    2) Wrinkles To Go
    3) Fast Press
    4) Quickie Iron or Quickie Press

do you know anything about internet marketing? do you understand the basics of PPC (pay per click)

if so, I can give you some hints as to how to approach your local market. It will cost some money - just make sure that you can afford the price of a mug of coffee to advertise your business.

I'm sure the others can come up with other ideas too.

You have to think who is is that needs your services, and why. That's the beginning of your marketing plan. OK? Over to you!
