We Are A Natural Skin Care Company

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
We are looking for a catchy company name and slogan for our australian natural skin care company. Our skincare products are in a niche bracket as they are infused with activated oxygen by using the very latest technology. We are a stand out skin care product because of this and we'd like to differentiate ourselves from the hundreds of natural skin care companies already saturating the market.

Who specifically would care about your activated oxygen infusion? Why? What can it do better than your competition? Have independent labs confirmed it?

yes it has been clinically tested . It absorbs more effectively and smooths skin texture and rehydrates the skins surface, gives skin an amazing glow. Many skin care products dont absorb as effectively.. Our testimonials have proven that.
activated oxygen is an amazing natural additive because as we age our skin cells loose up to 50% of their oxygen content. our product is giving back 02 to the skin cells . skin cell oxygen deprivation is one of the biggest factors of ageing

I never realized that it was a lack of oxygen that aged skin - I thought they were wrinkles ;-)

Now: what I'm thinking is that your product does a little more than just iron out the furrows. What have the people in the tests said about the results? What did they say about the way they *felt* about their skin. Because to me half of the deal when getting older is that you don't feel any older inside - it's sort of everything else, if you get me.

In short: what does the oxygenating element of your skin do that others don't. Now it's pre-tea so I'm not quite on form yet. You do say you have testimonials: what is the common theme running through them that will set your skin cream apart (is it a cream - or would you describe it some way else?).

I'm asking this because whilst this is perfectly obvious to you, the rest of the world needs to be informed of its uniqueness. That means you need to express that in some manner.

    How about -

Breathe new life into tired skin
Breathes new life into tired skin.
Rejuvenating with a breath of fresh air.

It's time for my tea! What do you think?

Many thanks for your response.. We've had so many incredibly positive testimonials that all reflected on our products ability to absorb quickly. Leaving skin radiant smoothe and glowing while also decreasing appearance of wrinkles and general regenerative qualities.
We are launching with 3 products and will build on our range as budget allows. We have a face oil skin cream and skin spritzer .
I like your suggestions about adding life to tired skin

You say you need a name and tagline. What you need to do is find out through a very small and focussed online campaign (Google display network/ppc) to find out what is most important to your visitors - because you have some really great features.

My point is that to your buying public, one will be most important (= the name) and it's benefit needs to be the tagline. You can back up the rest in your copy.

Which one is in each place is really up to them to choose. So whatever we've given you here, test them! Don't assume you're right, let them have their choice. Because they're buying not you.

What you need are three headlines (H1s)

Rejuvenates tired skin quickly (lame, but it'll do as an example)
    Oxygen technology skin care
    Let your skin breathe
    etc.

    Taglines (3)

    Leaving skin radiant smoothe
Makes your skin feel as if it glows
    Rejuvenates your skin quickly
Added Oxygen means it absorbs quickly

[Note: these are very rough, you'll have to craft your message - but the general direction is there]

Then add some descriptive copy that will back up the headline. You'll wind up with around five to eight landing pages. One will be a clear winner. That is the direction to go with your business name.

The point about online marketing is that it is fast and relatively inexpensive. Excellent for startups and the info you get will steer your business on its correct course.

I need a shower, it's still morning here in Europe. Apologies. I will come up with some better stuff later. There are days I'm not so good ... apols.

The display network can be found through the Adwords interface. Howie Jacobson's Google Adwords for Dummies (John Wiley, ISBN 978-1-118-11561-9 ) has a lot about it. There's quite a bit on his blog at https://askhowie.com

In brief: you're advertising wherever you see an ad on the net. Not search, anywhere. Magazines, blogs, newspapers, you name it. You pay for each time it shows on a website - and if someone clicks it you pay for that click too. You pay for each 1000 times your ad shows - hence CPM (cost per millenia or somesuch).

It's said of Adwords that you can reach 100,000 people in ten minutes. With Display you can reach 100 million. Easily. It's easy to refine in terms of demographics, geography (down to 1km radius from a point if necessary) and which magazines or kinds of magazines/websites you want to target.

It's incredibly powerful, it's fast and it's relatively cheap. Just make sure you put a cap on your daily spend in case you make a mistake with a setting ;-)

Thanks so much for your extremely useful info . I think i may have misunderstood your previous message ... is there a free platform where we can test our product and trial its marketing effectiveness and success in getting a response ?

No probs, sadly this forum lacks an edit function (among a host of other things). Comments are notorious for being difficult to understand properly.

The display network will be well worth your looking into: the information you get back will be worth a zillion times what you spend on it - and as mentioned, will steer your business into calm waters.

As to getting responses - you need really interesting landing pages (see my suggestions above for a beginning). Once you have a winner, find out what it was they liked and why. Do more of it, and then find out what else they like! It's fascinating stuff. You can take all the info you learn and feed it back into your landing page to make it even more attractive to your best buyers.

What top 5 thngs do you think matter and what top 5 things do your customers tell you about their use of your product and how does this use set you apart from every other skin care product? It's in buyer answers to these questions that the real seeds of differentiation lie.
