What Are Your Marketing Questions?

Posted by telemoxie on 2500 Points
what marketing challenge are you personally facing today?

how can this forum help you?

I would like to encourage those who have been so helpful by answering questions to also increase the value of this forum to themselves and others by asking intelligent questions.

To start out, I'll offer 500 points to the top five people who ask an intelligent and well thought out question, and reply to this thread.

Note:
zero points for questions about taglines.
Zero points for questions about company names

We can have great conversations about leading-edge marketing topics if we ask each other intelligent and timely and difficult questions.

Also please note:
asking questions does not decrease your number of expert points.

What difficult problem is at the top of your list right now? How can this incredibly powerful network of marketing experts assist you today?

a contest for you: ask a good question, and Win 500 points!

(I'm pointing to my own question here, since the "about the Forum” category has been hidden at the bottom of the page)

[aside - not sure if this matches up with your question Dave? But I'll go ahead and post it ...]

Is the KHE Forum the #1 marketing forum on the web?

I'm not sure what the criteria should be .. total traffic, related revenue generation, quality of Q & A experience (user interface), organic search ranking results in finding the forum?

In google searches, using several leading browsers and keyword phrases, the MP forum will come up as number one, two or three. Pretty good and probably indicates that organic search results are satisfactory, and the forum could hold the number one position. But what about the competition for the number one spot?

Here are a few 'marketing forums" that also get top search results:

    https://www.warriorforum.com/

    https://forum.marketingscoop.com

    https://www.freshmarketingforum.com/

Of course, we don't have access to the data required to form any comprehensive positioning conclusions. We do have a vested interest in the forum's success. All comments, suggested changes, additions and the like are welcome.

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear about my contest idea. I'm encouraging people to guess a question on the forum in the standard way... but also leave a note here, so then I get award points to my five favorites.

I believe this form can be the best on the web... if we ask and answer intelligent and timely and pressing questions.

    Can you give an example?
  • Posted by telemoxie on Author
Steve: sorry I was not clear. One example of a good question is a question you asked years ago about tool based content. That was an example of an expert (yourself) asking for help and advice from other experts on the forum generated helpful information.

Many people have worked hard over a long time to make this forum a helpful place by answering questions. Here is my point of view: we can also make the forum a helpful place by asking each other good questions, just as you have done in the past

if you post a question on the forum in the standard way, and then take the additional step of informing me by replying to my question, I'll pick the best five and send some points your way.

None of us know it all. Each of us is learning new things everyday. Each of us is facing some sort of an obstacle right now at this moment. If experts use this forum to help them solve their own difficult problems, the forum will be more interesting and more useful and more helpful to each of us.

Steve, the question you asked above is a good question. I like the question, and I learned from it. But my intention was that you post the question as a normal question in the normal way, and then mention it here on this thread, so that I can use this thread to award points.

Got it, thanks for the clarification. It's certainly true that none of us knows everything. I certainly don't and I forget about using the forum as my resource to get answers. Good post Dave (worthy of 500 points to you).

I have reposted the above question as a "standard question". I don't know why the links are not clickable in the repost. I'll see what I can do to fix it.

thanks for trying, Steve. I'm trying to encourage people to ask questions, but my strategy isn't working. It might be because of the new layout. In the old days, the items posted to the "about our forum" section were always on the first page. Today they are hidden at the bottom.

A probably try again with an urgent question. Thanks again.
