New Educational Nonprofit Needs Tagline

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Dear Experts,

I have founded a new nonprofit organization and am struggling to come up with an appropriate tagline. The website can be found at www.thevitalconnections.org.

The gist of it is we provide free education about early human life and development using a live fetal ultrasound demonstration for schools, community organizations, youth groups, and community health centers.

We are not religious or political and do not teach sexual education.

Looking forward to your replies!! We Really Need Your Help!!!

You told what you do, but you haven't made it clear specifically why this is of interest to the groups you mention. What is the message you're ultimately trying to share, and why should people trust what you have to say?

    Hi Jay,

I see you are ranked number one on the top 25
experts list. I assume that is no easy feat to accomplish so, kudos to you.

You would like to know why the education Vital Connections offers is of interest to the groups that I mention...

First, I need to speak for myself and from my heart. I am Nicole, Founder and CEO of Vital Connections. I do not think that most people, maybe 75% of the population, are aware of the educational information I have to share with them.

My experience as a RDMS Sonographer, who specializes in OB ultrasound, has been that most people (not All people) are largely naive of just what takes place in early human development an what exactly that looks like when you are able to use ultrasound to "shine a light on it" so to speak. You may be amazed to hear that even very educated individuals who have been through college level courses including embryology and fetal development are rendered completely speechless when they are brought face to face with a very tiny, yet undeniably human life inches from them. It Blows People Away!

I have helped more than 2,000 individuals and families in just over 4 years of conducting live educational ultrasounds. It never ceases to amaze me. Every time I feel like I have finally seen it all, someone comes along with an entirely new perspective, set of questions, and unique reaction to the live educational ultrasound experience I offer. My approach is unique in that I specialize in education. I use the live ultrasound I provide to educate not only the pregnant individual, but also their family, friends, neighbors, co-workers...etc. You name it, I have probably seen it as far as family, friends, and support structures go here in the U.S.

I hope that sheds a little more light on my query.

    Thank You!

    Hello All!

Thank you all for your responses. It seems there are many different directions we could go in. I am wondering if the words "ultrasound" and/or "education" should be in the tagline because that is what we do, or is that too literal and boring?

    Opinions?

You could always emphasize it elsewhere in your literature.

You could go with a tagline like: "Make UltraSound Decisions". Your problems is that "Vital Connections" doesn't say what you do, that you're a non-profit, and/or who should care. Therefore, your tagline should help to clarify your offering. Ultrasound isn't by itself a key benefit - it's the tool you're using to educate.

    Jay,

Yes, I do see your point. Unfortunately the name will have to remain for now. We have too much invested in it to change it at this point and time. Thanks for your input.
