Mondern Baby Boutique Names

Posted by Samanthafoster on 25 Points
I am starting my own online baby boutique in hopes that it will grow into a retail boutique. I want it to be very modern trendy and swanky. I am trying to come up with a name that gets the concept across. The words that i have in mind include but are not limited to: Modern Trendy Posh Chic Modish Swanky Baby Munchkins Tots and Tikes. My husband came up with Modern Little Munchkins and Trendy Tots but im not sold so i would love any input given.... Thank you in advance!

    A few ideas first -

Baby Swish (babyswish.com is taken - if you're trendy, babyswish.biz is available)
Chic Chic Babies (chic-chic-babies is available - hyphenated to allow for readability)
    Baby a la mode
    Hot babies
    cool babies
    baby cool
    baby zing

    Any good?

One other thought: babies are nice, not all boutique owners are. The market is dense and closely guarded. Breaking into it will take determination and strength. Getting clever rather than getting tough is usually the best method - to whit a few questions:

What do you do that's special? why would someone buy from you and not go to Walmart or Amazon? Who are your best kinds of customers? These issues need to be countered as they will save you a ton of money and time.

These are great questions which i have definitely thought through. My main goal is to offer products that are different and modern that are hard to find in stores. For example, I have an 11 month old and my style is not the cookie cutter baby outfits that are monogrammed or have characters on them etc. I am constantly getting asked where i got that shirt or hat or mustache passy for my baby. Most of these things i buy online because it is impossible to find in store and so all of my purchases are from various retailers online. My goal is to have all these type products in one central location instead of having to spend hours searching for a simple baby hat. So again i am trying to have a name that gets this across, which is much harder than i expected since i dont want a really cutesy baby name like most other boutiques.

Thanks for getting back. now for me it's really late (nearly midnight) so I'm not going to be long right now.

The info. you've provided is seriously good. To my mind you need either a name or a "theme" (what others call branding) that runs through everything you do - which speaks of the special things you sell.

How about Baby Catwalk? They're always somehow special and out of the ordinary

I really can't think of anything else right now, my poor brain is trying to become porridge and failing fast. See ya tomorrow. Think in the mean time about the kinds of people who want the special things you sell - think of the conversations you had with other mums when discussing your baby's fashions. That'll go a long way to clarifying who your best customers are.

In the mean time, zzzz ;-)
