Know-How Exchange : Taglines/Names

What type of pets?
Where?
For what type of clientele?
In their home or yours?
What makes your service special?

Well Jay's made a start. Now think a little more broadly and wonder what your customers should think of you when they see this name/tagline combination.

Which isn't easy, and answering Jay's questions won't clarify things for you very much either. What will is whether you like the approach of a tagline. All you have to then is to mold it to your needs and see if your customers like it too!

Now these names are generic - they have to be. Nevertheless knowing which you like will give us a starting point - or a starting point for you to add or subtract one word to make it your own!

Petz Place - where your pets go for their holidays
Pet's Palace
my pet ranch - where pets get wide open spaces
Pet port - a harbor for pets while you're away

Those are great. The only thing is is that I am going to their house their pets aren't coming to me.

Its mostly cats and dogs. I have taken care of fish and rabbits too.
I am located in Centeral Massachusetts
It would be in their home.

Okay then, let's turn my ideas around ... now what do you want your customers to find when they get home? A happy, well fed dog that hasn't wrecked the sofa or chewed up the Astrakhan carpets ... fish that are doing what fish do. More importantly, not doing what fish shouldn't. I'm trying to visualize them coming home to an excited pet that's not been unhappy during their absence. If this helps you visualize your customers, please have a go at this yourself! For one thing, it's great fun and it's not something that many business owners do.

Yourtown pet homing - keeping pets happy in their own home [yawn - but it's a start]
Pet sitting - looking after your pet as if you were there yourself [yawn2 - but you do have to say what you do!]
Pet & Holiday Services. Pets are happier at home, and I make sure they are.

So: do you like any of them? They're not much good, I'm sure you could improve on them. A little feedback on these might spur my imagination further!

Pet Homing I like. Even if I put my name into it Nancy's Pet Homing Not a bad ring to it at all. Even though it is a generic yawn it's not bad at all I want pets to be happy and healthy when I leave them. The other names are great too. I like Pet and Holiday Services.They all sound really great :) Thank you!
