The Indian-Italian Connection - Something special, something tasty

Bear in mind that you're offering a service, is there anyone in your area that you are in direct competition with? Whatever the answer, emphasizing the things you do best will attract customers who return time and time again.

    Why?

Because they like what you do. Their money is worth a lot less than the food you serve them. Just make sure that the food and experience is so good that they really flock to your restaurant. As an aside, Facebook and Twitter advertising work very well for your niche. There's a cafe in Utrecht that has attracted roughly 50% of their customers through social media. Well worth a look, especially where students are concerned!

    The Foreign Rajah
The Italian Raja - Where Rajas Dine

As to interiors, what have others done in your area? Do people like the interiors (v. important, after all, they're the ones buying!) You start by saying you sell Italian food along with others - which is your specialty? Would an Italian interior be something for you? Look at the restaurants that are full, copy some of their styling too. After all, if they're full they're selling!

The restaurant which i am talking about is Cafe style and not big one (Sitting capacity 30-35 person). Hence "Rajas Dine" will not suit. I am thinking of "DESI - MARIO" where MARIO is a italian character with desi look.... Suggest me of this sort.

Thanks for responding! When someone from India I always put something about Rajas ... that's just me being a Wessie ;-)

Bearing what you said in mind: how about ...

Desi Meets Mario [or the other way around?] Big food in a little place
big food in a cosy place

    Cosy Desi
Cosa Desi [as in Cosa Nostra ... only I'm not sure many people would make the Italian connection - this is just me thinking out loud as it were].
East Meets West [a bit tired? How many restaurants have done that one??]

I still like Desi meets Mario ...
    Desi Dines Mario ?

What do you think? Your input here is essential as I'm not on the spot, I'm in northern Europe where it's coming into autumn and it's raining :-(

Mario as in Super Mario? That would be trademark infringement.

We were talking about generic Marios, not specific Marios. Mario is a common enough name in Italy that I doubt that it would involve any infringements.

Desi meets Mario is too big name and does not goes well in india.

Looking for single word name - Probably 5 to 8 characters.

Now be fair! You mentioned Mario, so I used him. Sure, I've been to India, it was more than a decade ago ... and things change fast in certain areas. You know that.

    How about Italindia
Little Italy [two words - but it is still an idea for you one worders are InCredibly hard, by the way]
    EastWest
    ItalEast

    Any better?

Thanks a lot for quick response. My views below

Little italy .. Big food chain in India.

So far i liked EastWest & Marios. Will wait for more options to choose from.

I am not at all expecting India and Italy connectivity.. hence not ok with ItalEast etc...

Few words in my mind ... Kudos / Amigos / Eatly

I didn't know about Iittle Italy - at least you do :-)

I don't know why but I like Kudos and Amigos - both have a 'nice' feel to the name. The meaning can come later!

You could do an Apple knock-off on these like - - - iAmigos

    iKudos
    iMarios
iItaly - nope, that doesn't work. Anyway you said you didn't want Italies ...

In another direction how about the concept of a corner, as in it meaning small when used with a cafe?
    EWcorner
    Mario's Corner

    Amigos Corner

No doubt there are shorter, snappier words for corner, the idea's there.
