Opinions Needed For Sprinkler Company Name

Posted by tnadasi911 on 50 Points
My brother and I are starting a new sprinkler/irrigation company in the Houston, Texas suburban area, and we have narrowed our company name choices to two potential candidates. Please help us select the better name by picking your favorite of the two listed below. Also, let me know the reasons why you chose one over the other. Here are the two names we are contemplating:

1. RainTech Superior Sprinkler Systems (or Solutions)

2. R & T Superior Sprinkler Systems (or Solutions)

R/T are the initials of our first names. Thus by using the second choice, our names would easily be associated with our company.

However, in my opinion, the first one is catchier and would allow for a more creative logo and other graphics. Also, our initials would still be in the first one, and we could make the R and the T stand out more on documents to highlight our initials.

What is everyone's opinion? Thank you in advance for your input.

I would go with option one, "Rain Tech" sounds very cutting edge and professional , R & T sounds like something you and your brother do on the weekends for fun or to supplement your main source of income. As far as the choice between systems or solutions it could go either way but if I had to make a choice based solely off of your name "Rain tech sprinkler Solutions" assures me more of your expertise and professionalism verses "R & T Sprinkler systems"

Forget catchy. If I'm in Houston and looking for a sprinkler company I'm going to be Googling terms such as Houston Sprinkler.

Of your two choices, #1 is preferred. But be careful - it could be confused with Rain Tec Irrigation Systems (in TX) or perhaps Raintech Gutters (also in TX). Both of your choices is a mouthful to say when you'd pick up the phone. Can you simplify your name and still convey the gist of your message?

RainTech is better but as Jay says, not so good if there are other businesses local to you with that name. Do you really want to force a name to have R & T?

WATR Systems or WETTR or IrrigaTR.
    TarnTech (T&RN Tech)
    TimedRain
    TopRiego / Riego Tech
    SmaRTwatering

(RainTech is better, but it's a pity someone else has it)
