Who should the name appeal to?
What's different about your NPO - compared to other similar organizations?
Are you targeting a local population?
What specifically is your organization providing?

I would like the name to appeal to both the patient group and potential funders.
There is currently no organization in my state and very few nationally, dedicated to this purpose.
Services: peer and professional support groups, mental health services, emergency funding for families, a patient run business, educational opportunities for patients/professionals/lawmakers regarding early detection/treatment/rehab/resources, etc.

I've worked in non-profits for almost three decades and you do NOT need a "catchy" name. Simply call your organization the (state or city name) Aneurysm and Traumatic Brain Trust. Just tell people what you do and who you do it for.

Sad timing for the question given Michael Schumacher's injury.

Traumatic Head Injuries Society (THIS as in Support THIS) / Association (THIA)

Aneurysm and Brain Injury Trust (ABIT - Give ABIT)

I'm of the opinion that you need a name that engages, rather than "catches". After all, you'll want your sponsors to stay around!

    And your patients, too.

    How about

Heads Up - getting your head around traumatic brain injuries. (A bit whacky, but well ... you did ask).

Brain Trauma & Anurism Trust. or ... Brain Anurism & Trauma Trust (BATT)
