Firstly, a warning. This is not your conventional approach.

The essentials of drug abuse - of any kind from coffee upwards - is an emotional need that can't be filled by the person themselves. In social drinking this is masked by a gathering, my statement stands nevertheless. Peer pressure is similar, but works on the weaker person because unless they join in they're going to look small. Tough guys don't mind looking small when you're being told this by a guy you know to be weak.

Are you starting to form a picture?

Start with why they think drugs are the answer and work upwards and outwards.

How about -
looking big with drugs makes you smaller
tough guys are clean

What do you mean by "tough guys are clean".Can you give explanation of this?

It's an allusion to psychological toughness.

I saw a video recently of a carjacker who pointed his rifle at the car driver as he got out of the car. The carjacker threatened, posed, waved his thing about - and the driver swiped it out of his hands by grabbing the barrel of the weapon. Without his defence, the carjacker was terrified.

Who was strong and who was weak?
