Tag Line For The 50th Ramstein Bazaar In Germany

Posted by sharnessdd on 250 Points
We are the world's largest military bazaar selling goods from all over the world and operated by the Ramstein officers spouses' club. This year marks our 50th year and we're looking for a catching, yet appropriate, tag line. All proceeds from sales, approximately $250,000, go directly back into our US military community in Germany to support private organizations such as Scouts, swim club, school activities and the like.
Our mascot is a beautiful nutcracker and we've used the line "bringing the world to your doorstep" for sometime. We need to start printing shirts and other items in February and someone told me of this site. All I've been able to find relates to wedding anniversaries which is no help.
Looking for some great ideas. Thanks!

Firstly, welcome! When I first lived in Germany I'd wake up to AFN and the weather forecast from Traben-Trarbach ... you probably know them ;-) But that was in the early 80s.

I presume your "nutcracker" is one of those delightful German soldiers in his brightly colored uniform? I'm wondering how you might include him in your tagline. After all, if he's who I'm thinking of, he is a military figure - if a historical one?

My ideas are forming themselves around him.

"Bringing you the color of history"
"We bring you the gaiety* of the past"
    "History in all its color"

*Now gaiety's not quite the right word - there's no copyright on these ideas, you can use the word you feel's more appropriate.

That'll do for a start. What are your thoughts on these so far? I can sure come up with more.

    Moriarty and Jay,
    Thanks for responding.

Yes, we use a beautiful German nutcracker in red and gold with a black hat as our mascot and he is on all of our advertising.

We have also been using the tag line "Committed to Community" for our entire organization, of which the bazaar is part of. Ideally, our new logo will have the nutcracker, 50th, Ramstein Welfare Bazaar, Ranstein Germany and the new tag line. We want it to be catchy and represent support of the community.

    Hoping that helps,
    Stacey

    Hi Stacey

    how about

"Standing up for our community values" (alluding to your soldier)

I'm also thinking along the lines of "Attention" as in your soldier's standing to attention! But I can't get it in the mix. Maybe you can? It kinda doesn't come out right with "Standing to the attention of your local community" I've included it in case you can re-form it into something useful.

It's not a good day for me creatively. Apols.
