    Colette,

If you're starting a food business from home, please look into all the local regulations about food preparation. If you don't have access to a commercial kitchen, find out what the local laws are about food prep and abide by them. Do this before you focus on tag lines or business cards.

What's the meaning behind the name "Brief Indulgence"? Since the name could apply to anything, your tagline needs to make it clear, for example: "Delicious Custom Cakes". Also, are you planning to sell to a specific region, specific people (with dietary needs), or specific occasions?

There's a problem with the name: It doesn't tell people what you do.

You need to start with a simple business plan and a marketing plan. Part of that will be your Positioning Statement; it lays out the reason people might want to buy what you have to sell. Without that it's very difficult to come up with a name or a tagline.

Thank you all for your comments
@Gary Bloomer,i've checked with the local laws about it and there's no problem. Thanks alot
@Jay Hamilton-Roth and @mgoodman, i understand what you both said and it's true. I'm planning on selling to specific occasions such as birthday cakes, cupcakes, cookies, anniversaries, christening ceremonies,in short special occasions.
What if i call it "Decadent Indulgence", i really want the word "indulgence" to be a part of it.

How about "Sweet Indulgence"? The word sweet is a clue to desserts. Or "Indulge Bakery"?

What about putting "indulgence" in the tagline, so you can clearly communicate what you're offering in the name?

"Indulgence" by itself could be a bubble-bath, spa treatment, gourmet dinner, or any number of things. You don't want the name of the company to be ambiguous or confusing.

@mgoodman,i totally understand what you're saying, but the reason why i want indulgence as part of my cake business name is because, eating cake and confections is a beautiful indulging act,its something you really enjoy, and gives a warm delicious feeling.
