Sounds like a nice niche. Who is going to pay for these services: students or schools? Said another way, who is your primary target audience?

To mgoodman - primary target is more or less both. Students are the primary target for the workshop because they would be paying the fees. We do introductory seminar as well which is free and easy to sell. There are very few instances where school/ college / institute would be interested in sponsoring the workshop for the students.

Hope I made it more clear now.

To jay Hamilton - thanks for the suggestion. But I feel having something mentioning about career or job would attract more. Do you get something similar to his in your mind.

    Thanks for your help.

To get the attention of students, I would take a sensational headline approach and slightly alter the intros and titles of each section of your seminar to match them to your program hook. For example, if you go with one of the "You are making mistakes" or "How to destroy your career" angles, Begin each segment with examples of what NOT to do. Then transition into the actual tips. This way you keep their attention, pique their curiosity, and keep them engaged. Students remember and retain information better when it is attached to an emotion (I have 6+ years of teaching adult college courses)

Some examples to toss around. They can be mixed and matched as well as altered in countless ways:

    1. The Shocking Truth about Career Building! -10 Shortcuts to Landing Your Dream Job in Record Time! (Instead of "Shortcuts" you could use "Strategies", "Tactics", "Tips", "Real Life Techniques")

    2. How to Destroy Your Future and Die Penniless! - 7 Career Building Secrets every Student Should Know!

    3. Get Paid! 10 Career Strategies that Really Work! (This one is safe and effective, but doesn't grab attention or stir emotions like some of the other examples).

    4. How to Kick-Start Your Career! -The Ultimate Guide. (Another safe one. You could make the sub heading read: "The Ultimate Guide to Life After College" or "... to Getting What You Want!")

    5. Secrets of Successful People -12 Career Mistakes You Dont Know You're Making! (or "...Mistakes You Are About To Make")

    6. Secrets of Success - Getting Rid of Career Anxiety Once and for All!

    7. How to Destroy Your Career and Look Like an Idiot! 15 Mistakes You Can't Afford to Make!

    8. 20 Things Your Professor Won't Tell You! - How to Launch Your Career Before You Even Graduate!

There are many ways to spin these and many more where these came from! I hope this helps!
