Brand Name And Tagline For Herbal Cosmetics Co.

Posted by azkaar on 250 Points
We are looking for an attractive name and tagline for our upcoming herbal cosmetics concern (company), a scientific herbal healthcare manufacturer. We shall be marketing it in Asia, UK, Europe, Middle and Far East.
Products shall be herbal facewashes, skin tonners, whitening, moisturizing and night creams, soaps and shampoos, to be precise. Our mission is to make herbal wellness a part of every home. To make it better understand, one such company is "himalaya" with a domain having like products we want to work in.

Thanks for the help.

    So let's start by understanding exactly who is in your target audience. It can't be "every woman in Asia, Europe, Middle and Far East." That's way too broad, and you can't possibly afford to reach them all in any event.

    Then let's be specific about the UNIQUE POSITIONING BENEFIT you're going to deliver -- not the individual products or product features, but the benefit your target audience should expect. ("Why should I pay for herbal wellness? What IS 'herbal wellness' anyway? Will I FEEL any different?")

    Once we have that information, we can begin to develop a name and tagline that will communicate the desired message for you.

    Your mission is too broad. Every home? I think you're over estimating the scope of your ideal buyer. Everyone is not your customer. Narrow your focus.

    This is such a common product category and idea the level of spend necessary to get any standout in this sector will be enormous and it would be surprising if you're not already employing a leading global branding agency. For fun we can provide some creative thinking, but we'd need to be much clearer as to what your key selling points would be in this very crowded sector.

    Thanks everybody for the kind input.

    That's an excellent question actually.
    Herbal formulations always have attracted considerable attention because of their good activity and comparatively lesser or nil or far less side effects as compared to the synthetic drugs. Herbs and spices have been used in maintaining and enhancing human beauty and now there are scientifically developed products that generate the same powerful effect, in a shorter time and with a longer lasting effect. Another valid point is the safety profile, since many chemicals are being taken as potential causes of an ultimate damage or even skin cancer and is a serious concern.

    We believe in actively utilizing herbal ingredients instead of chemical-based, synthetic and cruel animal tested cosmetics and hence our target audience can be those unsatisfied and frustrated users of traditional cosmetics.

    @Gary Bloomer

    Having a range of products, a broad age group is covered, but yes the ones who actively believe in avoiding the irritatnt chemical based formulations in skin toners and moisturizers etc.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
    It's just at the brainstorming stage and we'd definitely go for a branding agency since the competition is quite tough and we aim to stand out in this sector, being the reason we sought you guys input at MarketingProfs.

    Any suggestions to any pertinent study towards the current market trends/paradigm shift in skincare sector please ?
