Lots of ideas, need more information: what kind of foundation, giving to which specific causes, funded how, funding how? "environmental" is too wide, as are the other categories you mention. What's your mission, what's your vision, what's your goal?
  • Posted on Accepted
Who is the target audience? What do they need to know? Why might they find this a cause worth their support? Where?

Perhaps you can address Gary's questions as well. The better we understand the organization and its goals, the better job we can do with naming direction.

Thanks, guys. This foundation will be funded by a business with a mission to develop, fund, and manage sustainable, environmentally sensitive business projects. We are currently in discussion with local Hawaii government regarding alternative energy, waste water, and water reclamation projects. We also are preparing to work with the infrastructure for Island of Hawaii and Maui real estate infrastructure. We hope to buy-out several troubled projects in Hawaii

This is a private foundation funded in the process of being set up by and individual fit the purposes of philanthropy to causes that reduces the depletion of nature and helps sustain a modern and just society.
Goal: to promote the creation and implementation of technology that helps sustain and renew the planet's resources and distribute them in an equitable fashion.
Specific causes: innovations in waste to energy technology, manufacturing byproduct repurposing, solar power generation, renewable energy solutions, etc.
Vision and mission statements in progress.
    Target audience: innovators and entrepreneurs.
They need to know that if needed, they will receive help building their capacity to develop and manage their product or service.

I answered your questions. Any other ideas out there?
What do you think of EarthAware?

EarthAware sounds like an educational group, not a technology group.
If you're targeting Hawaii, then linking in a Hawaiian name/image makes sense. If you're saying "we help anyone anywhere" then naming gets harder. Is your mission to "save the earth using science"?
