Name/tagline For New Generation Exhibitions Center

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Thanks in advance for your help and sharing your ideas.

Unlike a museum, this is a place that hosts modern, fun, and interactive exhibitions/attractions targeted mainly to 21 to 45 age group, trendy, educated and connected. The center is located in a major holiday hub like Miami South Beach and is meant to be an alternative (daytime and nighttime) entertainment destination to bars and nightclubs. A visit to the center is not only fun and social but also useful, enriching and transforming experience. It is entertainment with a touch of culture and information.

The Center requires a catchy, modern and playful name to get the attention and communicate the difference from museum or traditional exhibits centers. Exhibits are about hot topics, fashion, contemporary art, etc.
Thanks for the help. Jennifer

This is one that I would approach by talking to folks in the target audience, describing the venue, perhaps with some pictures and a brief positioning statement. Then listen to how THEY describe it, why they like/dislike the concept, what reservations they have, how they might describe it to others, etc.

For us to brainstorm possible names is not going to give you a great solution. You'd still want to bounce our suggestions off the target audience before you run with a "winner."

There are a number of ways you can probe this with the target audience. You probably want a market research professional to guide you on this.

(Aside: the problem you're likely to face with seeking a bunch of names at this point is getting names that will generate confusion with your "competition": museums, bars, clubs, and perhaps gyms.)

Bristol in the UK has a centre called @Bristol. You could borrow the name idea: @Miami

Other places use the name of the building or location: The Watershed, The Tram Depot, Riverside, Bankside, The Factory etc - something easy, memorable and appropriate.

You might want to have a look at how other local major nightclubs, bars, music venues are named. For a venture such as this, you may not want to stray too far from those conventions.
Then add a second line, something like, "Entertainment & Infotainment" to attract the inquisitive customers you seek.
Then, get a good graphic artist to introduce some enticing visual cues into your signage. Any images should back-up your text...meaning show exciting and fun Entertainment, and Infotainment.
