Need New Name For Healthcare Consulting Firm

Posted by athomasnrp on 250 Points
I am looking to rebrand my healthcare consulting firm and I need help. I want something simple and professional. Something that is easy to remember, easy to type, and sticks with you. Any help is appreciated... Thanks in advance!

What is the firm called now? Why are you looking to rebrand it? As you know, a brand is a lot more than a name. Giving the firm a new name probably won't by itself change the brand image among your target audience.

Who is your primary target audience? What do you want the name to communicate (beside your value for simplicity and professionalism)? What usually "sticks with" folks is the benefit you promise them -- if it's one that is important to them.

My company "AMS Healthcare Consulting" (AMS stands for Alabama Medical Solutions) is merging with another firm "Veritas Consulting". We are two small firms who are joining to be able to grow nationally and play with the larger firms. Our target is physicians and medical office owners. We open up new locations, add additional services, assist with advertising campaigns, etc. Typically it is a medical practice that is struggling and needs a boost in revenue.
We want to be seen as professional and simple. We are also analytical, strategic, and thorough.

Funny...before I read your reply, my first thought on a name was something to do with Veritas. I like that word because people seek truth. When it comes to their health finding the truth is that much more critical. How about a blend of the two?

    Veritas Healthcare Solutions
    Veritas Healthcare Consulting

    Good Luck!!

I also think it's best to stick with something along the lines of Veritas Healthcare Consulting, or Veritas Associates. Stray too far from your current name and you may need to do more PR than may be necessary. Good luck with the merger.

Honestly, I do not mind the name Veritas, however we are struggling to find a domain name using Veritas. We would like a name that matches a domain. Any ideas on another name or with potential domain names?

I was trying to do something shorter. Do you think it really matters?

Length only matters if you expect people to type it in more than once. Most of the time people get to a website by clicking on a link. They don't care how many words/characters are in the URL. And after the first time they type it, they will either save the URL or use an autofill option.

My vote: Don't worry about the length.

If the positioning benefit is really compelling, the length of your domain name won't keep folks away. And if it isn't, even a short domain name won't do much for you.
