Help Us With A Name & Tag

Posted by eaparker on 50 Points
We are opening a small business that will clean restaurant kitchens' exhaust systems, exterior building cleaning and concrete (parking lots, etc.) We are a spin-off of my father-in-law's business which has been one of the oldest and most reputable cleaners in our area. The family is well-known within the local restaurant industry here so we have a somewhat established reputation but we want the existing customers we are servicing (my F-I-L is giving us some accounts) to realize it's us.

We like funny/witty names but are wondering if we should do something associated with our last name (for awareness purposes) which is Parker or associated with my father-in-law's business name? We are spinning off from a company named Superior Steam (without a tag line).

Some reasons that clients choose us is for our reputation, high standards/quality and experience. We will be primarily business-to-business. We appreciate any help!

I would definitely recommend using as much of the existing brand equity as possible. Perhaps something like this:

    Parker's Steam Cleaning
    or
    Parker's Superior Cleaning
    or
    Parker's Commercial Steam Cleaning

There's no reason to be funny/witty with the name. The goal should be to let folks know that you are part of the family business that they've come to know and trust.
