Taglines For My Website

Posted by sanaa.lundgren on 125 Points
I am a psychotherapist working with corporate, teens and individuals. I am struggling to find the right three taglines that represent my business. My logo is a lotus flower that symbolizes resilience and a hand that holds and cares for the lotus flower. Thanks

Three tag lines? Unless you're directing traffic to three different websites and unless you're going to have three different business cards and brochures, you might want to rethink needing three tag lines.

What type of client chooses to work with you? What are you known for helping with? What's the name of your practice? Located where? What are you hoping that a tagline will do for your business (perception)?

We can't really help you if we don't have the answers to the questions Gary and Jay have posed. What's the purpose of the three taglines? Why three? What do you want the taglines to communicate? To whom? Where? Why?

As mentioned in my first message, the name of my practice is 'Care Counselling' and my clients are teens and adults (individuals and couples). I also provide one to one corporate counselling (within the Employee Well being Package).I help depressed clients, those who are struggling with mid-life crisis and couples who would like to improve their communication skills. Based on my clients' feedback and my previous experience as a school counsellor,I am good at listening, motivating and instilling behavioural changes so that is why they choose to work with me . I am located in Asia where there is a big need for expatriate clients to be counselled by an expatriate counsellor. The reason why I am looking for two to three taglines is because my website designer wanted it that way (although I am not so convinced about that).i would like my taglines to communicate the message of being helped with care and respect to the expatriate community.I don't want to just pick up one or few and 'copy-paste' them on my website. I want something that reflect the care and understanding I provide for my expatriate clients because that is the way I relate to others in my daily life. I hope I have provided enough clarification. Thank you.

Do you work for the web designer, or does the web designer work for you?

You need to keep control of the strategy for your website and your business. The best way to do that is to provide your website designer with a clear Creative Brief and insist that he/she follow it. Otherwise you will be at the mercy of someone who probably doesn't understand your business and your objectives as well as you do.

Thanks everybody for your replies and feedback. As to my website designer, he certainly works for me but as I am not an expert in all areas of life, I often seek other people's expertise and do listen to it. And if I am not that much convinced, I seek a second opinion.
