Need A Catchy Tagline For Ecommerce Website

Posted by evelynchong1106 on 250 Points
Dear Experts...

Need to tab your brain to help us think of a witty, stylish, catchy yet understandable tagline.

We are creating a ecommerce website to allow women to sell and buy pre-loved (second hand) clothes. The target audience is between aged 20 to 40, and the range of clothes we are "trading" are mid-range brands examples Kate Spade, Ralph Laure, Banana Republic, etc.

We have created a brand name called SHWOP (which stands for Shop and Swap), so we needed a self-explanatory tagline to go along with the logo.

Your contribution will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I almost always appreciate wordplay in the service of some positive goal. So I think it's good that you see how "SHWOP" should have a self-explanatory tagline.
You've got the witty and stylish nailed down. So, maybe go with something simple and clear-
    "Buy and Sell Pre-Owned Clothes"

I don't want to write down a certain tagline, since I don't know the background well. But I think you could benefit from putting the emphasis on doing social and environmental good. The tagline should clearly let the customer know that he or she is contributing to the environment by reusing clothes. Maybe you can link the pre-loved theme with loving the nature or giving a second chance to unwanted clothes.

The tag line needs to be relevant to people's needs and aspirations, not "catchy". Tell us more about your site, and about your ideal buyer/seller: who this person is, where she lives, what she dies, what she looks for, what she needs and believes in, and perhaps, even include a link.
