Ideas For Name-waiting At Homes For Repairpeople

Posted by kwga62 on 125 Points
I'm in the process of starting a new "Girl Friday" business and one of my main services will be going to people's homes to wait on repair people so that the client doesn't have to take off of work. I've tossed the word "concierge" around with a few people but it doesn't really represent what I want to say. Any ideas?

What? You expect me to pay someone I don't know to sit in my house, and probably go through all my belongings, case the joint, take pictures of every room, and make detailed floor plans, maybe even copy my front door key, memorize the alarm code and make friends with the dog -- all while I'm paying them by the hour while they wait for the repair person to show up? Maybe you should just sell some of what you're smoking.

I'm not so sure the name is your most important need just yet. Maybe start with the marketing strategy.

Have you interviewed a sampling of prospective clients to see what they have to say? That's where I would start.
