Name For Specialized Web Company

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need a name, and possibly a tagline, for a web company that specializes in helping traditional design agencies develop web sites for their clients.

The company will handle whatever aspects of the development process that the design agency can't handle internally - probably mostly project management and back-end.

The marketing will try to relay the message to design agencies that they don't have to staff up diverse areas of web know-how, and they don't have to shy away from web projects. This company can help.

Think of the model relationship of design agency to high-end printers.

Problem:

Since this is a web company, the .com for any name MUST be available. Starting a business with any other domain extension is shooting yourself in the foot.

I'm looking for something creative that says skill, easy, experience, expert, web, technical, partner, team, assistance, reliable, etc.

I'd like something on the side of fun rather than stuffy.

Invented words are acceptable, but it must still feel or sound in a way that potential clients will get it. I don't want a nonsense name that needs a lot of back-up branding to be accepted. Though the final name doesn't necessarily have to speak directly to the company mission.

Ideally, it would also be phonetic and easily spelled. A name that has to be repeated or spelled every time can be a real burden.

We have a short list already, but we're looking for really outside the box options (or the obvious ones we've missed).

Thanks in advance!

    JW,

I've offered up dozens of names to members here, and I know many of them have gone unused. (My favorite? FlyPaper Media.) I wish I had the energy right now to dig through the old postings for you...

Maybe you can use the Search Questions link on the right side of this page, limit the category to Taglines/Names, and leave the criteria line blank. Then troll through the results.

Recently I added an article about business names to the Resource Library. There's a link to Search Resources on the right side of this page, too...

I may come back to your post later.

Here's my suggestion for the day:

    WebSack.com

    Tagline: "It's in the bag."

Yes, the domain is available and roaming free.

(When am I going to get paid for doing this? JB, are you out there with some advice to send me?)

I've got two unused domains of my own that might work for you, and I'll sell 'em cheap to fund the Santa account:

    Digicrat.com
    NetNail.com

Of course, these are just the domains. You'd have to add a surname for the company, like "Digicrat Design, Inc." or "NetNail Development Group."

Click on my name if you have any interest, and you'll find my contact info there.

This is the process so you can try this yourself:

Also try this which is also useful:

How about buying both domains (Wright and Right!)

    Good Luck
