Business Brand Name

Posted by jad on 250 Points
I am starting an all natural organic body scrub business and need a catchy brand name and tag line to go with it.

I have come up with a few brand names - see below for a list. However I am not sure which one to go with. I am open to more suggestions for names/taglines and feedback on the names I have come up with.

Peek a boo
Boo body
Boddess
Oh la la body
Buff body
Lather up
She bangs
banging body
shower me
the oh yeah body
beautiyou

Tell us more about your target customer. It looks like you're targeting women. What age range? Located where? What's special about your organic body scrub (that makes it better than your competition)? How are you positioning it against the competition? What are you trying to convey with the name? Why?

Until you answer Jay's questions there isn't much we can contribute. We need to understand your target audience, the unique and compelling benefit they should expect if/when they become your customer, and what you are trying to communicate with the name.

FWIW, "catchy" is usually not a good way to go. "Relevant" and "benefit oriented" are better goals.

    Hi Jay and mgoodman

Thank you for the reply. The target customers would be pregnant females around the world who still want to look and feel good whilst combating the common pregnancy symptoms -cellulite and stretch marks. Also the scrub will target females aged 18-30 who are health conscious and want to look good.

What is special about the scrub is a all natural, cruelty free and vegan friendly chocolate body scrub which will be available at a low cost affordable price. The scrub helps fight cellulite, stretch marks, acne and other skin conditions. Later down the track I want to introduce body oils and more scrubs
The body scrub is 100% Australian owned and manufactured.

I want the name to push the boundaries and the name to portray something sexy, fun and flirtatious.

Chobani Yogurt,,,catchy eh! Chobani means shepherd in Turkish...so it's not then the name that makes a 'brand'. It's always your customer that makes the bradn

#2 World wide pregnant women - a tad to aggressive? May want to concentrate on a country first...like AU? which has the monies to worry about stretch marks...fine tune your your message as both above commentators have mentioned

#3 An exercise...close your eyes...who is you customer (it ain't world wide)...gender, education, culture, income, married, etc. Narrow,,,Narrow...and keep narrowing. Once you truly can visualize who will really purchase your scrub...put it in front of them <> where they are <> in a language that they want to hear <> at a valued price <> follow their path to purchase and never lose them
