Kids Slumber Party Business Name

Posted by info on 25 Points
After a few glasses of wine, I have yet to get the creative juices flowing and hoping you guys can be of help:-)

Here is background . .
Currently I run a business called Banana j Creations- which is handmade tee pee tents and a few pretend play item (International customer base not widely known locally)

A number of my customers have requested to hire my tee pee tentsw for kids parties and such so I have decided to take it to the next step and have put together Slumber/Sleepover party sets. 5 x A-frame tents (not tee pee tents like main business), mattresses/pillow/blanket delivered to your house, set up full styled. I then return the following day and pack up.

I am wanting to run this new venture off of the main business site (for I have a large social media following), but since the Hire Service will only be avaialable to my local area (Noosa) I want it to be run under a different name. For example . . "Something Something Parties" by Banana j. I am not sure if I want the business name to include "sleep wording" just incase I venture out into other themed parties which are not sleep over style. In saying that "the sleep over" concept is my point of difference.

Hoping you guys can help:-)

Since the offering (and benefit) are new, I'd suggest a new/separate website. That way you won't confuse people about what you offer. Of course, you can promote the new business on the current website, and have a direct hyperlink for those who end up in the "wrong" place. You can even have a targeted landing page for the new business on the current-business site, and that too can have a link pointing to the new site.

What you are offering is truly unique. Don't hide it behind a generic or off-strategy name.

Mgoodman, I am tossing up between both website options . . I think having links to other pages you have the chance to lose people . . plus it is double costings!

You have as much chance of losing people if you link to another page on your site. The more you try to cram onto a single page, the less will be communicated. Keep the message on each page single-minded and focused.

The cost of a domain name is negligible, and the value is very high if the domain name helps you with SEO.
