Cap. Campaign Title, Tagline, Etc. Needed

Posted by development on 750 Points

We would very much welcome ideas for a capital campaign name, theme, tagline, etc. as we embark on a feasibility study for our first ever Capital Campaign. We are celebrating our 60th anniversary in 2018.

We are an independent 2K-6th grade coed elementary school located in a medium sized city and on the campus of a large church. We have approx. 480 students. There has never been a need for a Cap. Camp. (as we have always rented space from the church). Our school has grown significantly in recent years creating the need for more classrooms. We are renovating an existing building that will be designated as school space. It will house 8 new classrooms for 2K and PK and administrative space on the 1st floor, a performance hall/cafeteria with a fully equipped kitchen on the 2nd floor and our Connections program (additional academic help for students) on the 3rd floor. The result will be that all students will be united in closer proximity creating a more cohesive environment. We feel it will will foster an enhanced sense of pride among our collective school community. Our donor base includes current and alumni families, grandparents, church members, special friends and foundations.
Thank you for your time and help!

Let's start with a few basics: What is the name of the school? Why might a prospective donor want to support this cause? (It's clear why YOU want this. Why would they want it?) How do you plan to connect with your target audience? How/where will they learn about the campaign?

I'd rather not say the name of the school on this public forum since we have not even begun the feasibility study. The feasibility study is comprised of a number of interviews of key donors (about 30) to gage their interest through a set of strategic questions. They will be provided a professionally produced packet of collateral materials that will include floor plans, renderings, budget, gift pyramid along with the case for support. If the feasibility study determines there is enough positive support to go forward, the campaign will kick off in late summer.

At that time we will launch the campaign to our entire donor base and others with the mailing of another professionally produced packet of pertinent materials. We will then begin to promote the campaign publicly though gatherings for Q and A, events, and many dinners and meetings with donors.

Our prospective donors have a strong connection to the school because their children and grandchildren gained (or are currently gaining) a strong Christian and academic foundation here, and they want to see it grow and thrive. We are a STEAM focused school. (Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Math) Our students feed into the finest middle and high schools in our area and are known to thrive wherever they go. We are located in the center of the city along a main corridor and are proud to be considered part of an important local institution.
