Quarterly Staff Meetings Lead By Our Ceo

Posted by sackettl on 25 Points
I am renaming our quarterly staff meetings which are lead by our CEO. Currently, they are called "Speak Easys". Our Behavioral Health division is not fond of that! These meetings were named by our previous CEO about 10 years ago and we are ready for a change. The purpose of the meetings is to share "state of the hospital" information and Human Resources information. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Who is the primary target audience (other than simply hospital employees)? Why might they benefit from attending these meetings? Is it just so they can see/hear the CEO? Do they get to participate in an active role? Ask questions?

What would you expect attendees to do differently in their jobs after attending a quarterly meeting with the CEO? Have you asked a sampling of folks about whether/if they feel they benefit, and how? (If not, I'd interview a dozen or so employees to see what they have to say.

Primary target is all hospital employees - about 2300. Meetings are held at various times on various dates to accommodate all schedules/shifts. They are filmed and posted for viewing by those who are unable to attend. The benefit for those who attend is to hear from the CEO about the hospital's current financial status, new services, patient satisfaction, etc. HR reports benefit information and upcoming events including wellness screenings. Average attendance is about 750 total. We poll them at every meeting to see if meeting times/dates are convenient and give them the opportunity to comment. A Q&A time is given at the end of each session. We have been doing these meetings for over 10 years and find them very effective/informative. Employees look forward to hearing from the CEO. I am simply looking for a new name, other than Speak Easy, to catch people's attention.
