New Realtor At Kw Wants To Name My Real Estate Co.

Posted by j.kirkland on 250 Points
As a new realtor in Cumming, GA (broker is in Suwanee - named Keller Williams, Atlanta Brokers "South Forsyth"). I want to call my LLC: J. Kirkland Realty (so that it stands out and easier to remember than Jesse Kirkland - my name and since my first name is often mispelled or heard as 'Jeffie" on the phone:-(

Forsyth Co. is like the fastest growing county in the US. My tagline is going to something like "from Milton to Midtown and Middle Georgia to the Mountains". I would love to specialize at Lake Lanier/Alatoona Cumming, Canton, Alpharetta area. Want to keep generic enough so that I can do residential, commercial etc and be able to take name with me (if ever need to change broker or location). Looking to differentiate myself.

One idea I have is a j that looks like a hook going through the name KIRKLAND (which kind of gives the submlinal image of a cross). And, FYI, Kirkland origin I understand is Land of the Church. Need logo help, bad
New phisherman looking for help thanks to Mark

You could use your j-hook through Kirkland idea...and then "hang" the loop of the R in Realty through the curved part of the hook. Make the word Realty slightly angled (~30°, or whatever looks good), like it is hooked. You might still get your subliminal cross, plus people always want to hook that big deal.

Before we try to be graphic designers for your logo, let's remind ourselves that BRANDING is all about communicating an important and unique benefit to a well-defined (primary) target audience.

Who exactly is your primary target audience? What's important to them? How will they evaluate you in comparison to your competition? What unique benefit will you offer them? Shouldn't THAT be the focus of the name and tagline?

As you grow your business, you can always change your tagline.
Given your current plans, why not try "Specializing in Homes in Atlanta, Forsyth, and Dawson"?
In the future, change "Homes" to "Properties".
