Need A New Name For A Breakfast Fundraising Event.

Posted by dorothy on 250 Points
We provide peer support groups for children and teens who have experienced the death of someone important to them. Our major fundraiser each year is a breakfast. We've always called it "Community Breakfast" which is bland and somewhat misleading. (When I hear Community Breakfast I think it's a free meal for the community.)

Our services are free and open-ended so kids and families never pay and they attend groups as long as they want to.

I'd love to find a name that expresses hope, resilience, and healing. Our guests make donations and pledges at this event. It's a major part of our annual fundraising budget.

Appreciate any good ideas!!

What's the name of your organization?
    What region do you serve?
Do you want your organization's name tied to the name of the event or is there a mascot/motto/brand that we could use to tie in with the event?

Good Grief of NW Ohio, we're in Toledo, Ohio.

The name could be tied in. Historically it's been GGNWO's Community Breakfast

Butterflies are a common theme. I would upload our logo and other artwork - if I knew how!!
    our website is www.goodgriefnwo.org

    Thank you!

Dorothy - I'm not sure what type of names you're looking for. If butterflies are common, it might be too trite a theme. If your support programs offer art therapy, then I suggest looking at images (and perhaps even featuring some of them) for your visuals. Here are some names to get you thinking:
    • GOOD Morning, GRIEF Supporters
    • Breakfast Benefit for Good Grief
    • Hello Breakfast. Goodbye Grief.
    • Bacon, Eggs, and a Side of Grief

Hi Dorothy, you may want to convey the "benefit" of your non profit activity through this name. I suggest evaluating names like:
    - The Healing Touch
    - The Touch That Heals

... or to convey affirmative action you could consider more evocative names like:
    - RISE!

    Best wishes to you!
